Forums you guys use (with adsense)

    I'm looking to start some forums on some favorite topics of mine. Just wondering how people that start forums, get the software and such.

    Do you guys pay for it, or is it like include with your hosting?

    Are there more specific ones that are geared for adsense users as opposed to not?

    In your opinion what would be a recommended hosting companies/software packages for forums?

    Sorry I'm just new to the whole forum idea, I am very computer literate, being a computer engineer, just little things like this I'm unsure about :)

    i use Drupal (Free).. i have also used SMF (Free) ..

    if you're serious about it use vBulletin otherwise get something free like smf. Sure there might be a forum better than vB but 95% of the forums I post on regularly use vB.

    Most people don't take you seriously unless you have VB..You can use mybb or phpbb, both are fine..But it might not be as popular with the members..
