Hi I want to take opinions from the members of digital point forum on link building. My question is What is the better way of link building? Blogs comments or Forum postings? I will be thankful for you all.
In my opinion, doing both would be more meaningful if compared to only choose one, or if you want more weight again you can get one way link from blogs that you comment on or become one of the links on their blogroll
Forum posting is better than blog comments. Why? First observation, there are only few blogs running that has do follow index. Even if you post a good comment, still the blog owner want to make it no-follow. Even me, i maintain blogs and i don't want any people past any link juices. But in forum posting, you have all the chances of promoting your brand through signatures. Most of the forum sites are do-follows so it is again a plus factor considering that Google easily index do-follow forum sites.
I would always prefer both for link building as it is good to have them coming... from different forms of sites! But if I have to choose between the two, I would prefer forums as they are usually well trafficked and so does ensure great visibility as well! Regards, RightMan
I would say both as they both are good at link building, commenting on good do follow blog with high pr can help you a lot and in forums same thing you can apply for posting with good do follow forum.
For traffic , I'll go with the forums , for pagerank increasing I'll go with the high pagerank dofollow blogs
I would never limit myself or my links to one particular post type. Use both types and then find more. Its a never ending battle. Sick
u gotta use both, but dont get stuck on them, use articles, directories, link buys, 3 way link exchanges, and just about any tactic that can fly under the radar. SEO is all about manipulation of algos, and anyone telling u otherwise is full of it. build content and links will come only works if you can throw a lot of money into content (more than link buys), or if you're willing to have no life for a long time
I would definite look at doing both, it's always to cover both it's good as internet marketing strategy
Yes, all the above replies are quite valid. Surely, Use both Forum & blogs for a great link building.
This is a good question. I think that if you can find a forum that deals with a relevant topic to your site then this might be an easier way to build more links.
From the best I can tell and I am really still pretty new, I haven't gotten any link juice from any forums yet. Maybe I haven't found any great ones yet. However, blogs (even nofollow) show up with have some link juice most of the time. That is just from my experience. That being said though, I would do both!!
As long as they don't have the nofollow tag in the links both are useful. But practically dofollow blogs don't exist, it's a whole different thing with forums, since there are many authoritative forum sites outthere that allow signatures.
