    Hi

I am a little confused as I have heard some people saying that having keywords on a forum can harm you chances of getting a good search rank due to the same keywords being on the same page. Is this true? If so should I remove all my keywords from my forum?

    regards

You should have some keywords just don't overdo it. Include some in your thread content if you are posting about specific topic. Don't have a box at the top with a bunch of words in h1 tags.

I think it is not harm in chances of getting a good search rank and it is the way of getting traffic and possible keyword ranking to your site. you should use different keyword phrases in different forums

It wont hurt your rankings at all in my experience. As long as you don't over do it. No amount of link building will hurt your rankings, the links just wont count. If you could damage your rankings as you suggest it would be too easy to wipe out your competition.
