[Forums] Is it ok to place text ads within the post (at topmost)?

I don't remember where I seen it, but does anyone has experience with it?

I have a forum, but the ads under the first post do not get much attention. I would like to move it topmost of the post itself (within the post). Would that be ok?

Which forum are you using? I'd say it's ok to put it at the top (below the menu) in vb OR alternatively you can move it just above the quick reply window in vbulletin.

I got an answer from Google, as long as I put it in a box, different color from the post, and an "advertising" title. It is fine!

i think you can put ads at that place, its not against TOS,

 

I did it on top inside a Sponsor Ads field set, they said it was alright.
