Forums getting a lot of unique visitors, but no one is registering?

    This is always a problem with forums, you need to have a few core posters who get along together and use the forum as a chat room.

    Another thing is that there is usually no need to sigh up unless you actually want to make a point or ask a question. Very few members actually ever make a post.

    My forum has signups every day but it's rare that anybody posts, the information is there and they read it. Makes me wonder why anybody signs up in the first place.
    Yesterday my forum had 702 visitors, one signup and one post, visitors find what they want and thats what counts.

    So long as you get the traffic everything is ok :D .

    I would make sure there is a very visable, and easy to read message that is displayed at the top of every page until a user registers or logs in. I'm using vbulletin with a few plug-ins and hacks and it works wonders for the registrations

    ..but it doesn't stop there. When they register you still have to get them to post.

    As you have the traffic you have the chance to try different ways for registry. Change or add new contents maybe.
