Backlinks are very important we all know that, but where is the best place to get quality backlinks for your website. Forums or article directories?
I wouldn't say either is a good source for 'quality' links. The links that these strategies produce are average quality. Between the two I prefer article marketing. It produces many more links on pages that are very relevant to your keywords. Links from forums are rather low quality as they are on PR0 pages that quickly get buried in the archives.
I agree with vansterdam, links from forums may help you to gain some traffic if you are really active in forums, sometimes users found your link is relevant to what they are looking for. Article Marketing is always a better option but you need to choose your submissions wisely, submissions to few authority one is far better than submitting an article to 100's of directories.
article marketing is the better option to choose between them. write good article, submit it on ezinearticles and get your articles distributed on various related sites which increases the relevancy of the content contextually
both of them are giving good quality. if you get dofollow backlink from forum and directory, that should be great for PR building.
Forum is not generally great for increasing Pagerank, but to get more eyes on your sites. More interested visitors, I would say and article marketing is more of a better way of getting targeted readers.
I will cast my vote for articles. They should be keyword targetted , have rich content and pointing towards your website from some other like ezine or prlog... They bring you traffic , popularity , brand image and of course rankings...
Both are very good for gaining backlinks. But I will go for article marketing as it creates many more links for the targeted keywords.
Both of them are good, cant ignore any of them. To vote for better, article directory will be better since someone might give you backlink when they found your article is good and post at their blog
I prefer to use forums for backlinks, they give good traffic and are more easy to make. However id agree that article directories are more quality.
i'll prefer article marketing for getting back links. as we know content is the king of all and articles have proper denstiy of keyword and have appropriate title and discription and that is all that matters.
A SEO expert told me.... "A link is better than no link" Duhhh! The best way to build your links is to go in all directions. Forum's blog's articles, social networks, everything.
UM okay. You mean placing an affiliate link in a forum to a pitch page is the way to get rich? Guess I'll just never make any money online.
