Hi Guys. Do you know if one can submit a forum to dmoz that is part of a website that is already listed in the directory?

Also, how does one obtain the forum.url.com address, instead of http://www.url.com/forum address? Im sure it has to do with hosting right?

Which address is "better" for the forum? Does it matter?

Sorry, Im pretty much new to everything :)

Sure. Submit away. No guarantee it will be listed though - especially not if it's new. Better to wait until you have built up membership and content.

You have to set it up as a subdomain. Ask your host if that feature is supported (most do) and how to set it up.

It's probably mostly a matter of preference. I like the subdomain format better - for one thing, it's shorter.

There may be other factors to consider: see Folders vs. Subdomains.
