Forums cause eCPM and EPC to drop?

I have a wordpress blog site and it's doing fine.

One day I just thought of installing forum on the same domain and linked a lot from my blog to forum, hopefully bringing in more members to forum.

In about 2 weeks time, there's quite a huge drop on EPC and eCPM.
I've already filtered out MFA sites and also the keyword for the google ads are "remote access" which is suppose to bring in high EPC and eCPM.

Actually I have no idea what EPC and eCPM are but I do know it affects the revenue. Whenever I see a drop in EPC and eCPM, my revenue goes down as well even though the CTR remained.

So my question is, will forum cause eCPM and EPC to drop? I've seen some blog sites, they do have forum but it's no where to be found on the blog. They did not link the forum to blog at all! So I guess there must be a reason for it?

You should make use of channels, so you can track whether the EPC and eCPM are different for different sections. What I expect is that they are lower on the forum and staying relatively consistent on the rest of your site. On the whole that would mean less EPC and eCPM. But with more pageviews, you should be seeing an increase in income anyhow. If the income isn't less, I think you can safely say that you have nothing to worry about.
