    Just take a look here:

    http://www.webrankinfo.com/english/tools/google-data-centers.php

    site:http://www.forum.juicyduff.com/

    217 indexed except for 216.239.59 www-gv which has 52 000

    http://www.coolscifi.com/forums/

    241 indexed except for 216.239.59 www-gv which has 10 900

    http://forums.johnstonefitness.com/

    874 indexed except for www-gv which has 89 000.

Anyways you see my point. Looks like forums aren't being indexed as before.

I first noticed this with my forum, which had 70 000+ across most of the datacenters, and now has 300.

Does this now mean that participating in revenue-sharing forums is not gonna benefit us from a $$$ viewpoint anymore?

 don't participate in revenue sharing forums from $$$ viewpoint.
Invest your time in making websites and learning new things.

I noticed that my forum page count dropped from 10,000+ to around 400.
, which is around the same amount of threads that I happen to have on my forum.

I was thinking that an individual thread is now considered a "page"?

Isn't this related to the Supplemental problem that is being talked about?

    That would be unfortunate...

Many times an obscure answer is found in a forum in which someone else had already asked the question.

Google will be less useful if forum pages are dropped.

Whatever the problem is, I don't think it's about being a forum. This forum jumped up in the number of pages indexed with the new update (from ~350,000 pages before, to over 1M after).

Yeah...I'm not sure why search engines would discriminate against forums either...

    *shrugs*

I've always felt that I had little control over my own search engine performance, so I don't let things like this get to me...if I receive a lot of SE traffic, great, if not, that's ok too...no since in fretting over it

that's definetly not right, since i have 13 000 threads.

about other forums, i don't know why some sites aren't affected but other are :(

i'm wondering if google is being a bit more discriminatory to which sites it indexes.

Yeah SVZ I have the same problem. Also a lot of my threads do not get cached. What I am really thinking is with my case I do not have enough deep links going on.

Perhaps you need more sites linking to your forums? Usuaully that's the cause, not enough links to keep those pages indexed, at least that's what I've heard.

I have seen my main domain vacillate between up to almost 40,000 pages and down as low as a about 2000 over the past few weeks. All elements within the domain are changing, except I think the non-dynamic pages on the main www site.

I don't think it's a change in policy. I think it's just Big Daddy or perhaps something else rolling and stumbling along.

    Wait it out...

I ahve seen this many times.

For some reason, forum indexed page counts fluctuate wildly from time to time. I have seen my forums go from 200k indexed, to 20k to 300k, all in the space of a month.

Its almost like google likes to deindex, and then reindex periodically.

The only plausible theory I have come up with is that Google keeps x number of total pages in its index. Periodically does a partial flush, and then re-indexes based on what it thinks to be the best pages on the net.
