Forum with 3k uniques makes $0?

I am running a webmaster forum, started about year and half ago which i have been neglecting since then. The forum gets traffic about $3k uniques monthly without any promotion which i only came to know today.

I am struggling to take care of this forum and especially spam posts. I never made a single penny from it until now.

What to do with this forum? sell it or monetize it?

Please help me to make a decision. My site is webmasterpals.com

if you really have 3k unique visits per day it means the traffic you get is from bad sources. For 3k uniq/day your forum has way to less posts and threads, and it means neither you visitors are not interested in forum topic or... I don't know. Is this a traffic from search engines?

You should encourage your visitors to activity on your site first, and then think about monetize it. "Raw" traffic alone doesn;t make you rich, it's all about connection between you and your visitors.

 

Are you kidding me? 3k unique daily but your forum have a few thread?
If i'm you,i will consider selling it or find some partner to together manage the forum.
For spam post,it normal even at my forum can't get rid of spam problem.
I do suggest you to block the spammer IP to avoid them to spam again

 

The first thing you need to do is encourage more of those unique visitors to post to your forum.

This could be a bit of a problem because people who visit your forum will not want to post because there is so little activity and interaction.

I would suggest maybe taking up one of the forum post services here on this forum to give the impression that the forum is more active. Then when those unique visitors get to your site they will be more inclined to register and participate.

Once you have people participating in your forum the income will follow

 

Add "fake" activity to your blog and soon people will fall for it and start generating some great content for you.

 

what is fake activity? can you shed some light on this.

"3k uniques monthly" is what it looks like to me! And that's not exactly massive traffic.

 

he did say monthly not daily just so you guys know.


I think that the design of the website could really use a new look. It is kind of boring and might turn people away

i dont thinks you can make none with small traffic like this i have forums that have triple traffic then your site i dont even make much money

 

Most of the forums don't make much money, because forums will have huge amount of returning visitors who don't click ads.
