I run a relatively large forum with a tech savvy audience and focus. My current CPMs are around $0.21 for US traffic, and $0.04 for International, with around 19% of total traffic being US. Total daily impressions usually go over 1 million, and the site does not go overboard with ads per page. As far as I know, these CPMs are rather low by standards, correct me if Im wrong. Can you guys recommend some good CPM networks that do well with large tech-related forums?
Have you tried CPXInteractive, BurstMedia and CasaleMedia before? I think you can make more money with these networks.
Project Mobius is right, the search function is useful! I'm watching my CPM happily drop to near single digit cents as my traffic goes up (while sticking at a few dollars on lower traffic sites), so I'll be interested to see if you get accepted into those networks and if the change is worth it.
I did notice 'no unmoderated user-generated content' on at least one of them, which is basically 'no forums'
FYI, xtendmedia wants 20k impressions per day. So the OP is set and the rest of us get to sulk in the corner with < 20k impressions a day and dismal adsense revenue.
There are lots of cpm networks you can use or experiment from where you can get the most.I would recommend kontera, casalemedia and linkworth.
With a million impressions a day, many networks would be interested in that traffic, you can try cpxinteractive
That's strange to find out that CPX denied your application. Try to contact them again, just describe well how many impressions you have, they may change their mind. Also apply for XtendMedia and DSNR networks. We used to work with Rubicon, that is more a middle-man, and they take 17% of the revenue earned, still they can provide really good campaigns for US and Europe. Even charging 17%, the final result can be very good with them for specific countries. Also, since your site is devoted to one topic, try to contact the sites/companies that can be interested in advertising at your site directly.
