I'm sure that many of the webmasters who are running successful forum thought about this question. It's whether to run a forum or a CMS (Where you update the content).

I have been running forums for quite a bit now. But they are not good revenue generator? (or is just me). What do you guys think the future has in store for forums?

It all depends if you can power the community without a site - a site can easily help the forum make more money.

running forums are better as updating is easy and people lyk updated stuff. You need some investment though but it is quite good. Revenue is not a problem at all, if the topics u have are good enough and atract people

well man, the way I see it.

If you post unique content on a forum, it gets indexed the excact same as content on a regular site.

so, its which ever way gets the most clicks from those people...

It may not give you handsome revenue but if people are happy because of the information you provide, they will always thank you for that. In forum sites you'll be able to build strong online relationships.
