Which one is better? Forum or Blog? This is what I find out from Forum and Blog Advantages of Forum -------------------- - Impression can last for sometime ( like they will visit the forum again to reply their post or thread) - More systematic - Able to set moderators - Useful modification ( Itrader , Google addurl auto submit etc.) - Wont look messy when there are a lot of post - PM system Disadvantages of Forum ------------------------ - Extremely hard to get new members at the start ( even if they are your friends) - Less traffic = Gone - Members easy to get bored if you're lack of experience(add more section etc.) - Some member will advertise through PM Advantages of Blog -------------------- - Can prevent scammers - Very easy to manage - Doesn't need to spend your time for: - Making sections/sub-sections etc. - Moderator - Add hacks/modification - Easy to change skin Disadvantages of Blog ---------------------- - Members/Visitors could not make post(unless their author etc.) - Less chance they will bookmark the page unless it is useful ( like 10 ten ways to get your site to PR10 etc.) - Looks messy when there are a lot of comments - Some people will spam their site to get backlinks
simply.. forum grows with users and blog grows depend on the webmaster. So, forum is very easy to manage as all the responsibility does not come to one and I prefer it.
Personally, out of the 2 I prefer forums. Never liked blogs, never understood them, and never use them.
blogs are much better for search engines, google figure that forums don't have very good content so will not rate them as highly. but forums are much more fun in my opinion .
Forums all the way.....Forums ensure more interaction. Also they provide better returns on most occasions.
I will also go for forums because it is very easy to advertise but once traffic gets involved everything will be fine.
i prefer blog ............... i have tried webmaster, friends etc forums many times. ..but all screwed ! ....... blogs are much better ..... once indexed and submitted to a few good directories and having good back links ...would get you good money ......... CONTENT IS THE KING for both !!
I'd go for blogs because it is easier for me. although you have to write the content yourself unlike forums.
