Hi, I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right section, please do move or delete the thread if it doesn't belong here. I have had my username changed by mistake, I don't even know what happened I was trying to purchase a premium package and I ended up clicking the username change package by mistake. This was about two years ago.. Can I still change my username? Do I need to pay again? I don't want this username any longer. Thank you.
If you changed your name when you mistakenly paid for a name change previously, you will have to pay for another name change if you want to change name again.
Gosh, I will pay if I have to, this username was used back in the day (2014) and I really don't want it anymore. Cheers
I'm a little confused about how you accidentally changed your username? You changed it almost 2 years ago, you had to specifically *pick* a new username (and type it again to verify you typed it right). And then 2 years later you realized you accidentally changed it (even though you had to pick the new name and then verify that was the new name you wanted by typing it again)?
Hi Shawn, No I didn't accidentally pick a new username. I was trying to make an upgrade to Premium package and I probably was too tired and clicked the paypal button for the "username change" accidentally and the payment went though... so basically I had no option, I did change my username back then, not accidentally. I needed a Premium account for some of its features so yeah I paid for another thing accidentally. I only realized what I did after the paypal payment went through lol. I was wondering if I had to pay again to change it back because I sort of want another one..
Yeah... internally username changes have a pretty severe impact on our servers. Ideally, we'd prefer someone to not change their username (even by paying). The paid option to do so really is just a barrier of entry to allow people to do it that feel like they absolutely must, but at the same time prevent many users from doing so (again, username changes wreck havoc on the server, and it's not about the money, it's about preventing people from doing it).
