Does anyone rely on forum spamming to get traffic to adsense pages? I've heard it can yeild some really great clicks if you get adsense showing really relevant links.

I think you should have a strong read of the forums before asking this. Spamming is strongly dissaproved by many (if not the most) of the members in the forum.

Never ask how to spam. "can it be done?" sounds really bad.

Heh, I barely get a trickle of clicks to sites in my sig from tens of thousands of decent posts on dozens of top quality forums like this one. With spam, your posts will generally get removed by moderators within a few minutes. Even if you were lacking in moral values enough to try doing it, I can hardly see how the effort would prove worthwhile.

So no one here searches forums and posts link to their articles if it's relevant? No one at all?

if your membership on a forum has the sideeffect of benefitting your rankings a little bit, cool! more power to you if you are a contributing member. If not, I think you're much better off taking GfC's advice and find something else to do with your time.

I have found that the only upside to signatures is to get a new site indexed or find linking partners.

People on webmaster forums know what ads look like and most likely will not click them if they do make it to your site.

A downside is that everyone will know what your sites are and what industries you are in. You increase the risk of attacks and lower the threshhold for others to enter your market.

Heh, at least vBulletin 3.5 is making it closer to being as easy to get rid of them as Wordpress to delete those spams!

if you want to earn from Adsense, forum spamming is not the right thing to do. What you need is to SEO your site.

Traffic from search engines are most likely converted to Adsense earning. Traffic from forum spamming sometimes resulted to intentional invalid clicks to get you banned from the program.

Depends on your site content / the forums you spam. It would obviously increase your Adsense if you do it correctly.

But ultimately you'll be annoying alot of people, downgrade the quality of your site, and there's no longevity. You'll get better results by doing what kawebspy mentioned, SEO :)

Your blog is great. I found this post while searching for information about forums. Although Forum Spamming? Can it be done? isn't exactly what I was looking for, I'm going to recommend this site to my friends. If you have time check out my site about cool forums
