    Hi,

Looking for a forum that lists all topics on one page, but then lets you click categories to narrow the topics down into categories..

    Any ideas?

It also needs to be very SEO'd!

You mean a forum that allows sub-categories?

    Try SMF forums :)

    No, not 'sub-categories'.

Vanilla offers exactly what I need, and I love the software but it's isn't right, I find it a little strange!

It's the most SEO-friendly, easy to use and simplistic forum system out today. No other forum software competes with it in that sense, except maybe PunBB or MyBB but they need a few mods just to make them slightly interesting to users.

You could try hacking and slashing Vanilla about, browse their forums etc just to see what you can really do with it.
