I wrote this minimalist forumware in PHP. It is aimed at being lightweight, no-nonsense, simple, and secure. I plan to go open-source with it, but please tell me what you think about the forum in terms of usability. Edit: The job was more of what-to-remove, than what-to-add. The design is 0-image, and personally, as a Unix-loving programmer, I don't care about looks (simple works, overdone repells); it is indeed rather...bare, and may not work with quite a few people. Anyway, drop by your constructive criticism. http://wootify.com/forum/
hi Mate Very simple and nice design you have , Also loads fast. Nice forum. But there is very little activity there. I think you should launch some contest to increase activity in the forum or you can also use paid posting. Good luck for the forum.
This is not a community, it's a demo install to showcase the forum software, so I don't care much about the activity. But thanks a lot for the positive feedback!
Weird as in? Please compare with another browser and let me know. Looks just fine on my Firefox here.
Well, you have a very simple webdesign, i think it's too simple, i think it's nicer if you change the color? Make it a bit more darker and it's looking much better.
Not a bad design, but looks like it lacks even simple and basic features that other forum softwares have. (Even for a light weight forum..)
@Mpijpenseel I am currently in talks with a CSS professsional, lets see what we can do. @gamer2 Well, IMO, it's got all I'd ask from a forum, but you will be pleased to know that the code is highly modular, and you will be able to implement almost anything you'd want in no time, after understanding the basic DB structure.
