1st off, DP is a great place. i really learned alot and my earnings have tripled since 4 months back with all the info posted in here. i've implemented most ideas & suggestions i could find. I've a forum site (just one website) & implemented adsense start of the year. This is so far my adsense figure for this month up till today, i've round it off so as not to disclose my exact figures Page impressions 200000++ Clicks 900++ Page CTR 0.4%++ Page eCPM $0.9++ Earnings $200++ is my earnings considered ok? my earnings has tripled since start of 2006, but it has been stagnant for the past 2 months & i fear it might drop eventually i've used the adsense 3 ads, 1 link unit, 1 search box, 4 referral, the maximum google allowed There are days when i can earn $35 a day & some days, pathetic $3 a day I think i've 'milked the cow' out my forum of puttin up MAX no. of ads, any other forumer out there with suggestions to increase my revenue? better blending, design example perhaps? etc .. I've been toying with the idea of 1) putting up content articles now 2) & opening up new sites/forums i'm currently experimenting with adwords to attract more visitors to my site ... with following result for this month Current Budget $3.00 / day Clicks 400++ Impr. 97000++ CTR 0.4%++ Avg. CPC $0.1++ Cost $50++ is the stats good? i don't quite know to intrepert it i heard forums are not popular with search engines. how do you guys promote your site also ... to get more people going to your pages And no i won't disclose my site url, sorry mate. my forum is a gaming site with a niche game help anyone cheers
Page CTR 0.4%++ Page eCPM $0.9++ I'm not sure what normal stats are for forum sites, but those don't seem too good. Also, I don't think it's about the number of ads, but where they are placed. Check out the forum heat map here -- http://adsense.blogspot.com/2005/10/six-adsense-optimization-tips-for.html
Those are normal for a forum, you might be able to tweak and get it closer to 1% but I'm not sure how. The only times I've seen higher numbers is when there was a reported very high influx of new users. Measured in the hundreds to thousands. What's your forum link?
Content Site is much better than the forum. I'm also running a forum but not getting much from the forum but getting good amount from the content website. In Content Website you can give a Quality to the content, But in the forums you can't.
my content site pays out far better than any other blog or forum I have with 1% of the traffic. Forums just don't pay well on adsense, IMO
I don't even use Adsense on my forum. It had a positive effect on the main site (avoiding ad blindness). Not to mention that forums are a lot faster without all that Adsense stuff on it.
forums provides repeat visitors, which will ignore ads...in a content website you can well arrange ads, to improve ctr
Agreed. Forums are not money makers at all. I do have a forum, and, yes, 0.4% is about right. Your earnings are excellent, while mine barely cover my cost of operation, let alone my time. I might even consider wm007's advice, which is to drop ads from the forum altogether.
you should remove ur ctr and stats since adsense says that its against TOS and content in the end ranks better on SE , but forum sites get more repeat users
exactly.. You are right buddy and most of all Forum's page view is far higher than the normal content site. You can place CPM ads like www.focusin.com or something like that.
my avg is about 50 user per session on the forums yea i'll try & tweak to 1% i can't disclose my link mate
true, looks like i've to go into content site now ... thanks for the tip any good links for sample content site that display good usage of google ads blending? ... other than adsense blogspot hospots thanks for url, i've signed up. hoping for good result
another question guys .. a silly one i can't find the link or buttons to edit my entries i want to remove my goggle cpc/ctr stats
