Why do some people have their forum signatures in color? (I see mostly blues or reds) Does it have more weight? Also does it help if the signature is bolded or underlined?
I don't think coloring a link can give any weight to the links. It is just to make the links more "prominent" that's it.
The colors attract the attention so you will get more clicks on your links. It would be a nice way to drive targeted traffic to your sites. From a SEO point of view it won't make any difference.
It just guide you to have some prominent traffic! but for link building it doesn't give any preference
Its to avoid ad blindness. It does have more weight in a way that it forces people to read, but thats about it
color signature will definitely helps to increase web site traffic but i don't think so it is helpful for SEO
it has an effect in SEO, change your text color same to your background color let's see what happen to your link and how search engine approach this kind of link.
Lol, sorry but couldn't help but laugh about this one. You have to honestly think about it, search engines are blind to the colour of a link but visitors aren't. The fact of the matter is that if you want to get clicks on your forum signature links, you need to make them stand out from the rest...
As you see with mine I went for the invisible color combo.. Im told by a reliable source, I will be "sig worthy" at 10 posts! ; ) Reds or off reds are sales colors and marketing colors, so yes there is a benefit thats for sure..
Yes they do as colors help to attract people.. If you have strong colors then it will attract the eyes of people and the chance of click is more......
No. Putting signature in color does not have any significance. People put signatures in color to attract the attention of visitors & to get clicks. Hence it increases the traffic on their website.
I think you got the answer of your question . Everyone has already given the solution of your query in very detailed manner.
Color does not affects for your signature links It's make little attract to click if it's sightedness if interested. It's normal. I hope it does not affect for your ranking too.
Thanks guys! Good to know! I didn't think it had anything to do with SEO (why would color matter to google?) But now I understand why so many people on this forum use red and blue. When I get a moment I will change my own signature. thanks!
Signatures in color helps, but the problem is that a lot of people (close to everybody) is doing it, the effect is not as good as it used to be. I have been doing some tests, and bold helps, and various colors help, I'm still using green (the default color), but I have added arrows and that helped a lot. I also see that some people have centered their signatures. I haven't tried that yet.
