Forum Signature

We know that forum signature has its own SEO values; but I want to ask you that what is the ideal way of making a forum signature which does not show like spam.

 

Forum signatures don't really hold any SEO value but if you are part of a community of people who fit your customer demographic and you provide value to that community, a forum signature can bring in well qualified leads. I wouldn't spend any time using forum signatures for their SEO value, but you might be pleasantly surprised at the lead generation they can provide.

 

If the forum is relevant and the signature links are dofollow then they would help. As for making it look less-spammy..I would recommend adding text before and/or after your link. Good font color choices can also help it stand out. If the forum allows you to make signatures a bigger size that wouldn't hurt either..But don't go too big - that does look spammy.

 

Forum Signature is not the value of seo. Its just give your anchor link to your discussion and help to create leads.

 

if you are talking about effectiveness of forum's signature regarding optimization(seo), you have to look at, is that forum is dofollow? only then it will help you for creating back link(seo purpose) and if the forum is no-follow forum then it can increase your site visitor. So, forum signature helps SEO.

 

It als depends on the level of authority the site has with google.

 

If I understood right, most of the forums nowadays have no-follow settings, don't they?

 

One thing I have found about forum signatures, be they no follow attributed or still do follow.
Using the same keyword on many forums is not good!

Why my signatures on all the forums I am on change daily according to the new blog post or just to change to another site.
And I do not rely at all on forums for any SEO benefit as those days are long gone.
But get onto threads that have been indexed by google/bing?
That is good.

 

Forum signatures are still good for marketing your site/product.Although it don't bring too much seo value unless its do follow it can do wonders when talking about leads.

 

Thank for your answer; actually I an agree with you because in the recent penguin update that is called penguin 2.1, Googlw said to us if you are using same anchor text link in forum then your site will get penalize.

Forum signature is good as long as you post value information
Both google algo & the forum members knows to detect quality and when the link in your signature is "wrap" by quality content - it's value (in terms of seo) will be high.
