no, old posts signature will neither change nor be removed....they will remain as it is.

Your new posts will take effect of the sig. changes.

I am not sure about it. But so far I have noticed that most of the blogs update your signature links from all the pots once you update it.

if you change your signature and posted a new comment on any thread then your signature from the past will not appear unless you put it back again.

i thought the signature on the old posts stayed the same...
either way, google does not index every page at once, so a sudden change of 300+ posts and a new backlink shouldn't flood google with too many links.. as it takes months to index every signature.

No effect on your old signature if you change new signature.

i don't think so that if you edit your signature which is made first will change in your previous posts. You can surely check it out practically by doing and look at the results you get

Right, if you change the anchor text in your signature for backlinks, you need to wait for SEs to pick up your "new" backlinks. This would happen promptly on some big forums like DP forum but would last a really long period on some small forums with lower PR.

    Thanks,

dependson the forum setting. Some forum set that the signature change, the old post signature will change accordingly. In this case, your backlink wil gone.
However, some forum setting that the signagture will only appear on the new post once you change the signature, then your backlink will remain
