Forum signature linkbuilding worth it?

it certainly helps a bit I have seen my site rise through the ranks for a popular keyword all down to forum signatures! it took a couple hundred mind to make any real impact!

But you don't have to rely on forum posting alone since there are different methods we can apply to increase the banklink and at the same time obtain higher traffic to your site. forum signature link building is good you will get some good traffic to your website and some times improves keyword ranking also but u should participate in discussions daily related to your niche

It depends on the relevance of the forum you are posting on. You also have to interact more, meaning do a lot of posts. Add value to the conversation.. Every bit of SEO, especially link building, will help in the long run.

 

Every little bit of your links posted on a website with same niche will help but not in a obvious results. Combination of backlinks from forums, articles, social bookmarkings and media will help to boost up our traffic but not necessary in ranking.

Bear in mind, you will need to optimize your on-site SEO for the off-site SEO to take better effect.

 

very few forum pages i come across have a google page rank so i guess they are not that important, good blogs often have a google page rank which will give you a better link.

 

yup it will help. Just choose the forum carefully. I think that it will give small boost on your ranking but you will get quality, targeted visitor, which I think is one of the best

 

I think signature does help if it is managed properly. You have to spend some times in high PR, Quality related forum with your niche, interact with people, help them with their problems etc. Only then, they will look you as an expert of your niche and will gladly and interestingly click whatever you put in your signature box.
