    Hello,

I have had my site up for a few months, got quite a few indexed pages.
I have quite a few backlinks.
I am getting a few hits from Google but it seems to be quote low.
About 0 - 10 visits from Google per day.

    What about I doing wrong?

Your website is new. Wait for few months and till then build the relevant backlinks for your website.

    Hmmm.

@movingoncourses - So you mean getting people to blog about it?

@rai123 - I have good backlinks but how long does my site need to be before its not "new"?

I was looking at your topic pages and I noticed that your html has like 4 different meta descriptions...maybe try using one meta description.

Not really seo but branding wise I would include your Site Name at the end of title tage

Meaning "My topic is blah blah | by Myforums.com"

Also for onpage SEO guidance look at any wikipedia page ...as far as structure of H1s title etc and see how your pages compare.

Also you should link more to relevant topics/pages from within your own content. Best is within paragraghs instead of footers. Don't be spammy but 1-4 links to other pages within the site will help

    just my quick thoughts

You didn't figure out why a person would want to use your site. You just built it and expected people to want to participate. That's not really marketing. And it usually doesn't work unless you stumble on to something that takes off like a few years back with myspace layouts.

Few backlinks from which sites? thats the point.

Ohh the thread started in 2006,,so how are you doing now?

    I will look into that.

I know why people would want to visit it, I always have ideas for improvements.

    It was started in 2009.
