Forum Review - Need your opinion

Hi,

I recently bought this forum and I am trying to make something useful of it! It is a webmaster forum as you can see and I am struggling getting new members and visitors!

A few questions I need you to answer:

1. Is this design ok? I tried to keep it simple and easy to browse
2. Am I using the right colors?
3. What about the forum categories? too much? or..

Any other suggestions what I can do to make it a better place??

1. design is nice
2. they are descent colours
3. categories are fine, once u start getting posts then they will seems to be perfect
now its quite empty

 

design is ok, but work on header right side.

 

I left it white for future ads

 

I don't know how good you are with code to do it, but I've had a lot of success moving ads below the top navigation bar.

 

there are no ads on it yet ah ok, thanks for the tip
