In your experience would you say forums are high/low earners with adsense?

Depends. Forums typically have a very low CTR (usually 1-2%) but if you have enough traffic you can make $x,xxx or more per month.

low ctr for sure since the visitors are mostly the same everyday.

Not always true, think of it like this, big forum 500k+ posts. Thats about 50,000 pages of content.. thats a MASSIVE footprint in google and it only gets bigger and the number of "new" people coming from search can increase quite sharply.

But you are right, of course. Your looking at an 80%+ returning visitor ratio constantly.

Go lower, my stats yesterday: 0.12% CTR on the impressions, with 800~ uniques. If you can get CPM ads you will be creaming it in!

Dont ask for URL or impressions because I do not wish to disclose the information.

I get ~1,200+ uniques / day, but hardly make $1.25 a day. CTR is low between 0.1% and 0.2%

Also want to add that 70% of the traffic is new.

You have similar stats to me, wish id break that damnd 1000 uniques a day barrier though! (congrats on breaking 1000 uniques a day!)

At the same time im not making $1.25 a day either, prolly havnt had a day that low since i started!

Adsense earnings tend to be low...there are many other ways to make a decent amount of money from forums though!

 

Do enlighten us, Konerta is ruled out because I do not get 250K+ pages per month.

Also I use PhpBB.

Depending on the niche...affiliate ads work well (CJ).

Also, link sales/subscriptions depending on the size/PR of your forum.

If you have loyal members donations work well...just don't abuse this because it can have a negative effect
