forum posts question

I have read that posting on related forums is a great way of building up good links. However i have a small question regarding this. I know that every forum requires a minimum number of posts before allowing signature links. Now what i am thinking about doing is..work on a forum for, say a week to post around 50-100 posts..then add a link to my website/blog and then drastically reduce my frequency of posts on that forum while spending the time in getting a link in the same way from another forum. What i would like to know is..whether it is of any use in getting links from 100s of posts from the same forum? I mean no matter how many posts you make on a forum, google will consider it to be just one vote to your site whether there are hundreds of links to your site or just 4-5 links to your site from a single forum right?

every Post you make on a forum and add a signature, but slow your posting. Google will still will find you link. Unless the forum owner has blocked search engines from following links.

    Hope I helped.

I would say that you can get a lot of relevant / converting traffic from forums. For example if you have a 'cool' webmaster service / tool, you can easily get 10-15 referral visits from digitalpoint if you make 2-3 posts everyday.

Don't ignore the fact that you can use signatures for deep linking.

I think it would be better if use different relevent forum. some forums give you nofollow link too.

My colleague has different forums; each forums has a scheduled day to post on. =)
Through that way, his links was fairly scattered.

Do you spread out the posting on forums differently each day and week then?

    I just confused.

My friend Hero posted 3000 posts at a same forum and he found out that the most of backlinks listed all come from the same forum.

The problem is google does not show other than this forum's links.

    my advice:

yes.. some users (about 20% of the important ones) .. may ask you to have 5, 10 or 50 posts before you can add a signature, and some ask to have an account created with 1 week or so old.

Yes, you get backlinks when search engine spiders are searching your posts with signature, but I don't thing SE consider only one backlink from a site, when you have 100 posts for example.. I think they count 1 as being most important link, but they also consider the rest of 99 but less valuable.

Also.. In the time , you'll see what are the forums that can bring you more traffic from your post, and continue activate on them.. cause the best thing about forums.. they are a great link building method.. but also, a very , very good way to bring targeted visitors to your website.

Here you can find a list of dofollow forums. The first 100 ones are webmaster related.
