Forum posting

I think forum posting is best enough to increase SERP result in yahoo than blog commenting.Whats your opinion? If I do blog commenting along with forum posting does my SERP result increase more?

 

Forum posting is a great way to drive targeted traffic to a website, but I'm not sure about link building! It's not good to have to many links coming from one IP address!

 

On the latest Google Panda Update i guess Forum posting is not of much weight now... and so does profile link building

 

Both of them are same, it all depends on the site's quality

 

forum posting still useful in getting backlink and traffic.

 

They're useless if you do it by hand and try to rank for a keyword with even a very low competition. Granted, they may work to rank for "three legged homosexual parrots in Ashkum, IL" but otherwise don't waste your time.

Both of them are good enough to increase serp and PR. If you do them well and you should aim for sites with high PR too.

 

Of-course forum posting is more valuable than blog for traffic but i think it has less value for back linking because when the signature is removed by forum authority then your all signature are removed and you can not find your link that you are created by posting but your post are ok. So, it is better to make back link by submitting directory, social networking, bookmarking etc.

 

probably yahoo is less capable of discovering junk backlinks compared to google, so blogs and forums should be more effective

 

Both forum posting and blog commenting almost same and their function is almost similar. But the effectiveness bit vary on the types of website.

I have had good luck with forum posting for link building. It's hard to drop a link when you do blog commenting and not have this viewed as spam.
However, in forums, you can have a signature link and that definitely helps with link building.

 

forum posting is good for building backlinks .

 

I was doing a lot of forum posting for my site and its ranking increased really good till stop at the bottom of the first page and kept this ranking for really long without any improvement. Then I mixed this link building strategy with others, like blog comments and article submission and ranking for website increased significantly.

So I believe that you need to diversification in your link building efforts to get the best results

 

Forum Posting is the online discussion and the best ways to promote the links to get the backlinks in the Search engine.Forums not only increase the traffic but also get the ranking over the Search engines.

 

Forum posting has still got it but to a much lower extent now. You should be focusing on getting links from relevant sites rather than your average link building sites.

 

in my opinion . both are important. to increase your pr and traffic .

 

Not very useful these days, plus many forums are implementing "no follow" for all the external links, if you post in a forum with nofollow it will be useless for SEO.
