Forum posting is among the genuine website promotion techniques available to SEO Experts now a days. Finding suitable forums to make postings is also important. There is no other way to promote Keywords with anchor text than forum postings.

Yes, Forums postings is very important, It is one of the massive method to get more traffic. I had more successful output from forums postings.

The forums related to niche as well as the forums which are not related to niche too give success. However, releated niche forums are more helpful to get more traffic. The combination of related + irrlated is fine too.

Yes, it is possible to find niche related forums with the help of google. However, it is hard to find DOFOLLOW forums, We have to spend lot of time on it.....

 

I think popularising a forum is a very difficult task.

 

You can promote here,another thing in forum posting is, you can ask questions to other experts about SEO, or things you are interested to do or know.
Before, all I know is forum posting is promoting such products, websites, and services, but then I realized that, I can learn other techniques about SEO through joining forum sites. Now, I learned a lot!
note: I joined 5 forum sites about SEO.

Forums are great community to study,learn and share ideas with others.As a plus,it is a place to promote a blog,article or site in a white hat way.Just be careful in choosing do follow to no follow.

I think forum posting can be helpful, it is definitely better if the forum is topical and related to the sig post.

 

Forum posting I consider is among the best option to promote websites. From the SEO point of view we use this to promote our keywords. There is no better ways to promote keywords than this method as far as I know.

 

Forum posting is just fine, but the fact of that matter is use it to gain advice or provide an advantage to your target audience, dont' mess up by just asking people to visit your site in the hope's that you'll get more clicks or a higher amount of traffic.

 

We are discussing not discussing traffic generation. We are targeting traffic via Search engine. Forum posting has the great potential to get you keyword sky rocket.
