I've had a forum for my member site which for historical reasons, was created and hosted on another domain (basically, it's on Linux and our main site was created on a Windows server). It's managed by an outside guy. I have long asked him to create more SEO-friendly URLs and page titles. He recently made a series of technology changes which I'm not sure that I understand and I'm not sure that they are optimal. I'm basically a white-hat long term approach guy. Can I get your thoughts. The site is.... Time4Learning.net. He told me he: - implemented the ScriptWiz.com phpBB HTML Archiver - generated spider friendly HTML pages which duplicate the actual forum - updated the robot./txt to deny access to actual forum and to allow it to ~/forum/seo/ which is where spider friendly HTML pages are. An XML site map, regenerated daily, is pointing towards static spider friendly HTML pages.
