Just wondered whether it is a good idea to offer downloads on my forum, have a look and tell me what you think, http://jgblogging.com

I only have one file available currently, which is an eBook, I am working on a detailed 5 page (minimum) I think it will be about 10 pages long, ebook on How to setup and run a successful forum, its just I have these eBooks, and the only place I can give them is on my forum.

    I do, see signature.

Original content is always a good thing for a new forum.

Yeah, I am thinking about writing a really good detailed eBook, i was thinking about 25 pages, I then thought if I really do spend a good amount of time on and make it the best it could be, i would try selling it.
I would have to do a bit of research, I wouldn't even know what price to charge.

Anyone have any thoughts on a price on a 25 page eBook, about £5 ...?

Giving anything to your users is something brilliant that others cannot, I own a similar forum, Though I have never though to do so though I offer free Article submission and some webmaster tools to them. While I have always though to serve free downloads like eBooks, Templates to the members of my forum. Its better idea go ahead.

offering free services is always a good deal to gain viewership. I honestly wouldn't let host any ebooks r copyrighted material on my server (via ftp r any other option) - I don't mind users using free services to share though.
