forum opens by ip but not by url

    strange problem since i transffer my site to new hosting..i'm not able to access my site.. it shows
    i havent such problem before..

    not consistent but within last five days, 2-3times i experienced this problem..

    i've asked my other friends and they can access my site but i can't..even i can access by entering my site's ip or accesing it by using proxy..

    but i can't access by entering url..


    any clues?

    Please advice me wht to do..

    If you can access via proxy and not the usual way, flush your dns. on your computer.

    Contact your hosting provider and ask them to check the DNS entries for your domain name.

    After that, go to the site where you bought the domain name, an be sure you have the current DNS servers in your domain name DNS tools.

    Sometimes people will move a site, and then forget to update the DNS server information in the domain name DNS tools. The DNS server settings could still be pointing towards your old hosting providers DNS. Which could cause the name not to resolve with the new IP.
