Forum needs review on style(s), load time, etc

Hello,

I am the proud owner of http://www.forumbuddies.net/ and I would like to get some reviews on how the site looks and feels. Even the load time would be nice to know. Have worked very hard to make this site friendly and let people express themselves. Honest opinions are (even if they are negative) taken to heart and are very appreciated.

Basicly i like it! There are maybe too many subforums, gets a bit anoying... Further to that I dont like the red text, but I guess you are using that as a kinda "warning text"...?!?! there are also some parts of the designs that comes up a bit pixeled on my browser (explorer). Further to that... i like it... maybe a bit blue? all forums are blue these days

The red text, yeah we do use that to catch the eye of any visitor but we may just take it out. We usually use firefox so maybe that is why we never experienced the pixel problem but we'll see what we can do to fix it of course. The blue, well thats the favorite color but my wife and i have been adding different styles for those whom dont like blue ...wanna be able to give the option. Thanks again! ^^rep added

The design colors are nice and fresh, however it is a bit top heavy with header and banner areas.
I use large screen and even at my screen res it is almost bottom of page before I see any forum areas!

You should try and remove/re-arrange some of the stuff so that forum areas begins at least halfway up the page. The are too low down for my liking - and people who still use 800/600 res would probably not even see them at all.

How about if you work more on the header part? It has no unique visual identity whatsoever.
