    Hi

I think most of the forums where those software posts doesn't have any visitors. Because the good forums don't like those automatic generated spam messages :)

Mass private msgs will simply get your account banned, mass addition of friends is usually accepted as long as you don't go beyond the networks limits, which will get your account banned

Perhaps it would help if you explain what you mean by legal? It appears that some are speaking about what's 'legal' according to the Terms of Use for a particular forum (which is where I was coming from), but others might be referring to legal as in state law.

Many of the comments also refer more to whether this would be worth the trouble. In reality, successful marketers don't depend on just 'traffic', but rather traffic that develops an affinity for you and your services. These are the ones who provide you with residual income. Residual income is where it's at. Residual income comes from no additional work on your part. Typical SEO work is never ending... google sees to that. lol

But if you develop relationships with your customers, they will come back for more. If you also incorporate properly structured affiliate programs, they will make additional purchases directly from the company you're affiliated with... and you get paid. That's residual income.

If that interests you, then automated posting software will defeat the purpose. You will be banned over and over in quality forums where you can network with other marketers as well as future prospects. Basically, the law of reciprocity. You'll get what you give. You give spam, you'll get nothing. Because that's what spam's worth.

Yah i do not believe in spam either. im just trying to get the legal picture of things for reference. and yes i was referring to illegality as in state or federal laws not user agreements. so it seems that friend adding and forum auto posting is actually legal as far as laws. everybody agree with that?

I think it might be more relevant if people you were able to point to some US. statutes or state laws that make it illegal, rather than repeating stuff about being banned.

Ive read in bestselling marketing books about friend adders so i would be highly surprised if that is actually illegal. but ill have to do some more researching. im not participating in thses things actually im merely working on a project to understand the full spectrum of social media marketing. anyone else who has knowledge on this subject?

Yeah, I'd have to back out about now because I don't know if there are statutes that actually prohibit this kind of marketing. Let us know what you find out. :)

You'll also lose if they sue you in civil court.

i think it is better to post the forum comments or new topic by hand, not the auto software.coz it will be banned by the admin.or there is no sense to share the useless words.if so, other people wil don't like it.the most important is there is no people would go to your site for a look.

Don't ever go with such lame marketing if you really love your forum rather you can join other forums be active on them and post useful/helpful replies... having your forum link in your signature will prove helpful for you and this way you will get indirect forum members. You should also update your forum on priority.
