Forum Marketing Professional Required - Fair $

Hi,

I have a niche forum that I have been running for about 3-4 years. It has good SERPS results and is supported by Google Ads which bring a few new members.

But as with most forums, it is taking a long time to build the membership and number of threads/posts. I recognise some of the things that I need to be doing to grow this forum, but sadly I just don't have the time. I am extremely time poor due to work pressures. (my real job that is)

Rather than spend the next 5 years, spending what little time I have trying to grow this forum, I have decided to hire professional help, if it is available.

This a serious requirement, so please no responses from people who just say "Yea man, I can do that for you".

I need to know that the person who is hired to do this work, will be professional, has the right experience, and will get results.

I propose that the work is paid for in two ways. A base fee, a retainer if you like, to undertake the work, and then a completion fee, on completion of the work, and once the results have been achieved. I would expect the project to take place over a 6 month period, unless you have reasons to suggest a different time period should be used.

So if you are interested, please provide a formal proposal, under the following headings:



Deliverables.

Precisely what will you undertake to deliver at the end of the project? How will success be measured? (I would expect measures of success would include number of active members, threads and posts.) But you might have other suggestions as to measures of success on a forum.

Approach.

Broadly what techniques will you be using? Don't worry, this is not just a trick to steal your ideas. I don't have the time to do it, that's why I am willing to pay someone else.

But I need confidence in your approach. If your approach is to merely make 100 posts a day yourself, forget it. I need a professional approach, that might use a variety of techniques (not Black hat), that will bring in a lot of new (real) members. So convince me you know what you are doing.

Timeframe.

How long do you need to acheive some real results? Is 6 months realistic?

Payment Terms.

What will be the total cost of this work?
What staged payments will be expected, frequency etc?
Note: I would expect 40-50% of the total fees to be paid at the end, once success has been acheived. However we agree to measure that. Maybe an extra bonus can be agreed for really good results. Results get rewards, just talk is of no value to me.

How will you be paid? Paypal would be my preferred method, but happy to consider others.

Experience.

Provide a summary of your previous work in marketing and promoting forums, with references. What were you able to acheive for other forums. I would like to speak to some of your previous customers where you have done this type of work.

Or maybe your experience is limited to just your own forums? That's fine. As long as you can demonstrate real success in promoting and growing a forum.

Post Project Work

Outline what I will be expected to do after you finish your work, to keep the forum growing. ie submit 2 articles a week, make 20 posts a week myself. I don't know, you are the expert. But I need to know what time commitment will be required to maintain and grow your results.

Feel free to offer ongoing services to do this yourself. But show the fees for this seperately. ie Main project to get things moving. Then ongoing support if you think it worthwhile.



NOTES

Stats. The Forum has 9269 members, but most of those are bot registrations. Members who have posted = 457. Threads = 520 and posts = 2366.
Forum Age. Started in Aug 2005.
Membership Base. Fairly broad around the World.
Moderators. Self + 1 other.

CONDITIONS. To be further agreed with the successful provider of this service, but likely to include:

Source of New Members. Must be real members, (not bots), who actually post. Must also be from geographically spread locations, with at least 50% from Western Europe, USA and SE Asia. ie not 10,000 new members from just India, or Russia.

New Posts. To be from real new members. Not just some guy who posts 50 times a day about complete rubbish.
