It is a fact that forums can have that much traffic though in terms of sales, it is quite a low earning site rather than an established website.

Forum marketing is alright to market your site or product but if you really want to see good results, I still recommend paid advertising. I have managed and run paid advertising campaigns in the past and the ROI for targeted advertising is still far superior than non-directed advertising.

 

Its never a Time Waste at all.. If your replies really helpful to others, then you get loads of traffic..and you should be in a forum daily (say atleast 10 posts so that people can notice you and you get lot of traffic..

Forums are great for marketing. However you need to be implicit with your message as opposed to explicit. I builds on itself over time to the point that if your product or service is good, other members will become the spokes people for you.
