Forum Marketing Is it good or bad for traffic generation???

What do you guys think about forum marketing, do you think its bad for traffic generation or its good for traffic.

The reason I ask this question is because I got into an argument with someone who said forum marketing is a waste of time, what do you guys think is it a waste of time?

i speak for myself when i say I enjoy participating on forums and its not a waste of time

what are you guys take on this?

 

Forum marketing will never get you tones of sales or subscribers over night but it does build up. The good thing is that provided you are on a very niche specific forum like this one then the leads you make here will be highly targeted and usually of good quality.

Even better is that you can enjoy sharing and learning with others while you interact each day I have made some good friends around the world though forums over the years.

 

Hi. From what i i understand, it is very hard to monetize these sites. Forums are notoriously hard to earn through ads.

 

It mostly depend on the Forum.Even if is in marketing niche,there are lots of forums where your ads worth nothing because traffic on it is terrible.Not in numbers but in will of taking action.

The success definetly depends on the way you are promoting your page/ service and on the people arround in the forums. A good promotion won't help in forums full of morons while bad advertisement in good forums will also fail.

The tricky thing is to find the right balance between promoting your service and not spamming

If you utilize multiple forums in your marketing efforts then no it's not a bad idea if the forum is related to your product niche wise. Forum Marketing helps out in two different ways. The first is how most people look at it, and what I mean is that you can get some traffic through the link in your signature. As someone else said this is good because they are a highly targeted lead and have a higher rate to potentially buy your product.

The other way Forum Marketing helps out is by giving you backlinks to your site. Think about it, every post of yours has your link in it on a forum that is related to your product. Therefore every backlink you have from the forum to your site is another backlink furthermore increasing your SEO.

So for traffic alone I wouldn't just go with Forum Marketing, but I would keep at it and use it to help build traffic and Backlinks.

It's depends but surely it can only be good?! As long as you're doing other things and not spending every hour of the day doing it I can't see how it could be a waste of time.

 

Forum marketing is best not only for traffic but also for producing leads/sales. its because forum is all about creating relationship and trust. join the forum ,stay in touch with fellow members ,you will find my words will be true

 

Forum marketing has a use and you can find lots of helpful tips about almost everything topic when you join a community.

 

Forum marketing is a great method, always take part in discussions with forums related to your niche..this can help you bring sales, signups etc..it depends upon th way you take part in discussion, if your opinion will find useful to others they wil like your signaure also..

 

Forum Marketing give me lot of easy backlink. It also help me to generate some traffic.
Usually i get lot of conversion rate from Forum Marketing.
It help me to bring traffic , bring customer and build brand awareness.
If you target the right market, i believe you able to see that result as well.

 

Forum marketing is definitely not a waste of time! In fact it is very useful if you want some instant traffic to your blog/site. Of course it is not one of those long term traffic generation techniques such as article marketing where you can get traffic for months or years. But it is definitely useful tog get instant traffic. If you make posts in very active threads & in forums which have thousands of members (like DP & WF for internet marketing), then you can get a ton of traffic instantly to your website without writing long articles, press releases or creating videos. Plus forum marketing helps you to make friends & long term business relationships if you keep posting valuable information in your posts.

Forums are great, we are all here to take part in the dialogue and share our thoughts on specific subjects to help each other out. If you act right on the forums and you invest some time in them then you will be able to drive very high quality traffic and make money from them.

 

Forums participation can be a good choice to promote your products or generate traffic to your website and it might be beneficial for the marketing purpose. Otherwise it provides a fabulous platform to share your thoughts and discuss upon a certain matter. On the whole, its god for marketing general connectivity through internet.
