    Can I ask - how did you value it as a $250 site? Just interested in the way you review sites coz Im not sure about it myself...

    I do realise that it has PR3 and 449 indexed pages in Google. But to me theyre just numbers and I have no idea how to value it... :eek:

    There is no clear cut formula...For me it comes down to

    1.) PR - Its a sliding scale although normally PR3 - Adds $100 PR4 - Adds $150 PR5 - Adds $250/$300 --- Any higher and other factors come in
    2.) Pages Indexed (Non Supplemental) - This can add $50-$200 depending on the numbers
    3.) Uniqueness - If its a script that everyone uses then $0 but if its uniques and highly functional it can add $100-$500
    4.) Subject Matter - This is a personal choice. Gadgets are hot right now so that adds a bit. Financial sites also have some value
    5.) Revenue - Generally use 12 months as a guide although it depends on stabilty
    6.) Growth - Is the site on the way up or the way down
    7.) Marketablity - Are there hundreds of similar sites or is this site unique (In other words, are you paying for a unique idea)

    In the end, its only worth what you can extract from it whether its advertising or selling services. If you monetize a few sites, you get a feel for how much you can get from it. I know if I had that site, for instance, I could easily sell x amount of advertising.
