Forum contest advice

    I'm planning on starting a forum and need to get posts quickly.

    What you guys think about a contest on posting?

    I'm thinking of number of posts for specific period of time like 1 month interval.
    Each month, there will be prizes for top posters.

    To prevent inflating post counts, reputation is use to offset the total posts.
    If you put up 100 posts and one of your rep is -10, you now have 0.

    What you guys think about the idea?

    Be careful with people abusing reputation to a) hurt others and b) steal the contest price

    Select 20% of your members whose 80% contribution to your forum, you can motivate them through contest. I don't think this will hurt others and abusing reputation.
