Forum, but more than just a forum

My site is just a forum currently, but looking at adding more stuff to it - more than just a forum. It would only be a few things, so not enough for a homepage regular site with a link to the forum.

Any ideas on what I maybe can do?

How about a CMS with a forum built in? For eg Phpnuke or Postnuke are two examples where you have content, forum and can plugin a whole list of other functions such as shopping carts, blogs etc. For linux there are too many to choose from, for Windows I think DotNetNuke is the one.

I would move your forum, to a subdomain. www.forum.yourdomain.com.

Then place your content on the main directory.

You might start by letting everyone know what forum script you are using (phpBB, vBulletin, etc.) and what features you'd like to add. You've not given enough information so far for anyone to give you any real help.
