Forum Bots

    How do i get so many spam on my site everyday? are they actually people or just bots, and if so how did they get it! :mad:

    use image confirmation before registering/logging in.....that helps. You may also want to ban those existing bots if you know their user agents

    or if you know a little php, you can just ask a simple question like "are you a human" and add a text field. Users type yes and bots dont know what to type. Its a little bit easier if you dont have the verification code or GD libraries activated on the hosting account.

    Create a peace of software, like an autoclicker and your all set. However in most cases, this spam is deleted at once.
    I actually created that kind of script for some guy, though didn't use it myself. Spam does not work well, thats why real spammers send out 10 million emails a day.
    So don't do it. Its a lot easier to write articles :)

    and the script will use search engines to find forums, blogs and register and post on its own?
