    Depends on the pages where you put your link, if that page has PR and they do follow up you may get backlinks.

    Url in profile does come in search engine rankings. Maybe it counts

    Backlinks in signatures works on yahoo, msn, with google no results, so if you want improve you rating on yahoo, or msn use backlinks in forum signatures and somethin like that ;)
