Hi, Guys I have now been running my forum for just over a month. I have been working on new members and this is going ok. The forum is getting some good content now. How else could I get new members? I have a new page coming with discounts for exclusive companies and other things. I have a monthly Newsletter. Forum incentives, What else can I offer? I am getting about 1 new sign up every 2-3 days
Do you offer any kind of Pay Per Post incentives? You could offer something like $0.05 per approved post or something like that. You could also run some contests, where everyone who has made over 100 posts in a month will be entered for a cash prize or something like that. -- Phil
Do a contest. Spend a few hundred (if you can afford it) and buy a computer LCD monitor or an Ipod touch. Then do a huge contest saying, if you want to win this, you must post X amount of posts and you must put "Blah blah forum" in another forum signature. The winner will be randomly drawn at the end of Jan 08. Just an idea.
I see where you guys are coming from the problem with this could be I will end up getting spamed with stupid messages.
Well, that's why you need to specify that only genuine posts or x number of words per post are allowed. That way, spam won't be counted. Also, for more members. You could give an incentive or extra raffle coupon for members who can refer friends to your forum. Lots of luck buddy. Hope this helps you out.
