Hi, I need some help with my forum location/address. I had my forum installed at the the following address: http://mysite.com I had the forum moved to the following address: http://forums.mysite.com Now, when you go to the address http://mysite.com/forums the site loads as well. Is there anyway to stop the http://mysite.com/forums from loading? I just wanted the http://forums.mysite.com to be the only address. Thanks for your help! dthbah2006
just redirect http://mysite.com/forums to http://www.typodomain.com through cpanel, Thus it won't load
You can redirect via cPanel or using .htaccess permanent redirect or mod_rewrite. However if you did the move manually, double check your configuration file to adjust the actual path.
I did a redirect for now. When I login ftp to the root domain, the forum software is listed under 2 folders, the public_html folder and the www folder. I have separately renamed each one of forum folders under each, public_html and www, and each time it disables the forum. I know this can be done. digitalpoint does not have a digitalpoint.com/forums. When it is typed in you get the File Not Found page. I appreaciate your help guys. I'll keep searching... dthbah2006
WWW folder and the public_html folder are the exact same folder. They are copies of each other. If you have IM I would b glad to give you a hand.
