Thanks Syed we are really annoyed with this as we have set up a new server but these sites have been pulled by aspidov and not only has he done us for money now he pulls the hosting without any warning

We have had no time to move to our new server

I just moved to a VPS with them a couple of months ago and am happy so far. I will be moving some more of my sites over to them in the next couple of weeks and will report back on how it is handled.

What i would like to know has anyone seen or heard from "Aspidov"

i cant understand why would anyone work so hard to make a repute for himself, and let everything go for waiste .... may it be for money or otherwise.

sorry but this is the first i have to see,... i have been conned a number of times worth hundreds of dollars if not less,.... but those were people who had a history of conning or no history at all (annonimity has its demerits too!) .... this guy has a good history,.... came accross as a good person on chat.... and now this!

I was impressed after the fact... to be honst.

The owner of hostgator just so happened to be surfing DP the next day, saw my thread and PM'd me personally.

Well, after he called me I wound up with a dedicated server plus my shared hosting, and have not had a single complaint and/or problem with after wards :)

It is sad to see aspidov doing this. oh well.. live and learn i guess :(

Perhaps somebody should start to build a hosting company dedicated to directories... what do you think :D

thats sounds like a good idea but you would want other to be able to buy also plus be able to purchase additional ip otherwise to many would be on the same ip class which is not good

Iam already hosting many dpiers at our hosting company but i dont just accept everyone because separate IP's are alloted to everyone easily.
Waiting for a +ve reply for forplex.

It's kind of hard to build a hosting company.

1000s of variables involved including handling attacks, data backups, mail & dns configurations etc, etc.

Whenever I look for a hosting company I like to see something in the range of many years in business, 1000s of account, extensive technical knowhow etc, etc.

So it's hard to get a chunk of the the medium sized host's business.

Now if someone would start as a reseller, it would be extremely hard winning the directory owners trust, as the reseller would have access to code and data along with the hosting company, doubling the vulnerability from 1 to 2.

The reseller account that ran forplex is now over six months past due. We gave as much time as we possibly could. Please don't get mixed up with this being a hostgator problem it's just a matter of payment. =)

Thats fine 100% and if that is the case we can pay the money no problem, we never said it was a hostgator problem :)

But we are the recipient of the downside as we are not being hosted as we relied upon the re-seller paying you, the same re-seller who owes us 400USD for work that has not been delivered but has been PAID FOR 100% BY US

The re-seller uses the profile aspidov on this forum:mad:

Please note aspidov answers no communications what so ever whether email, MSN, Mobile Phone, Landline Telephone, MSN nothing

I use HostGator as well for my three sites and all has been very well. Support is top notch and one of the best I experienced.

britishguy, I hope they resolve this ASAP for you. I can imagine it must be a real burden when a reseller dismisses you with no word, no nothing. Hopefully HostGator can help you out.
