Hello, i think we all wonder what is the formula for good traffic? The reason for posting this is because i read on some blog that there are many people that have many good web sites and have adsense on them, with good revenue. One guy has 1000 (aprox.) web sites and all sites have average traffic and he has about 300.000$ from adsense every month. My question is how to grow sites from scratch one by one?(to have average traffic) I mean there is some kind of system or formula to grow 1000 sites to good level. Tell me your ideas?
I can almost guarantee you that the guy with a 1,000 websites is using blackhat techniques and has many of his sites outsourced (cheaply done overseas). It's already hard to get one site to get traffic let alone 1,000, hence why I'm saying he is using black hat methods or automated solutions. If you want to get good traffic make it around a niche that can give you lots of money. Don't just shoot for adsense.
Blackhat techniques usually fail, because if you're spamming a website, then you will fail because even if you get thousands of hits, you will get 0 returning visitors.
The point is, if you have 1000 websites you DON'T need great traffic to all of them in order to generate a good income. The guy you just described is playing a numbers game. There is also absolutely NO reason at all why someone with 1000 websites can't have 'white hat' sites. To generate 300k a month you're average $10k a day or $10 a day per site which is a high average when you're looking at those numbers. I would say shoot for building sites that generate $1 a day if you go for the 'build 'em high' strategy. Also set your initial targets lower to begin with or you will just fizzle out. Cheers, Dean
If you want to have 1000 websites generating at least 1$ a day per site you should be an extremely good project manager with extremely good outsourcing team. It's simply impossible to do this many sites one by one and by your own hands. You should also have a very high starting budget and spread it wisely on various promotion techniques, content, seo, webmaster wages.... My advice is : Try to build one site that generates 100 per day, than another and another...it's easier that way.
They have to be all 'static' sites and I can't see that working great long term as each niche gets more crowded and individual players target the same keywords better with more fresh content being loaded. Google will know this and rank those sites much higher. I tend to agree with the black hat comment and suggest you don't want to go down that track.
The general rule is that you work hard and so that you could drive traffic to your site. Just work everyday on developing your site.
There are tons of different types of formula's that you can go for, mainly I would recommend,, mass emailer and youtube,
I'm a newbie and still trying to learn all the ins-and-outs of web niches and traffic generation, but I find it very hard to believe that someone can have 1000 websites, with good content, and generate decent traffic. I'm focusing on only two blogs now and that's a challege to find/generate/keep good quality traffic coming in. I think most people would want to have recurring visitors to their sites and develop some site loyalty. Then you can build e-mail list and forums to help keep your site active. Hey, if there's a magic way to create tons of small, stagnant sites that can generate decent income, please let me know!
What a question!! People spend years learning how to make money on-line. It's not something that can be taught in a few posts. There are an amazing variety of resources in cyberspace. J.S Try blackhatworld.com if you are interested in black hat.
If I was making that much in one month I would definitely have a team working for me. You can easily pay couple of people $4,000 each per month and still have plenty of cash.
All and all there is no way I could handle 2 sites more or less 1,000 it has to be automated. Information on how to do that would could not be cheap.
Start out with one site. When you figure that out. Repeat. That's not too hard. What are people searching for?
Black hat can be ok if you know what you are doing, but that is only for the short term. But if you are talking about building a business, specially a solid one, you cannot rely on blackhat techniques. It will kill you. Tk
