Its ummm different. I think a team shouldnt change the livery too often, infact they shouldnt change at all. It becomes a symbol of recognition. Just look at Ferrari. Renault was good in blue and i think they've changed it to white this time around.
Unfortunately the liveries are too much dictated by the title sponsor so when a new title sponsor comes aboard (like ING for Renault) the colours have to be changed to suit the new company's colour scheme. The new Renault looks like an ugly mess of white, light blue and orange thanks to this...
Now it's started for real! I had to get up pretty damn early in the morning to catch the qualifying but I think it was worth it. 2007 is shaping up to be something special. Kimi impressed and put the Ferrari on pole. Alonso lines up second and was 4 tenths slower. Heidfeild surprised and put the BMW in third spot. Lewis Hamilton qualified fourth and that's pretty darn impressive for his first qualifying session. Kubica is in fifth spot with the second BMW. Noteworthy is that Taku Sato put his Super Aguri in 10th! (the "real" Hondas 14th and 17th). Heikki Kovalainen had a disappointing run and ended up 13th. Felipe Massa's Ferrari stopped out on track (gearbox?) and has to start 16th. It looks to be Kimi vs. Fernando tomorrow but one shouldn't rule out the BMWs and Hamilton.
Cheers for the update Bezzen! I hope the new Brit Hamilton doent get over hyped like Button did, I think it puts even more pressure on them, and everyone ends up dissapointed... Im watching it tonight.... gonna need plenty of coffee I think DD
BMW has the fastes car, but the speed isn't most important. I'm Ferrari fun. They have the best car and the best drivers.
What a start for Kimi Raikkonen and Ferrari? Kimi Raikkonen start with win for new car and team. Ferrari rules.
Finally kimi show back their potential to be a champions!!! At last with a good car and good support team... They show a quality as a schumacher replacement.. i think massa is also good.. yesterday he drop from position grid because of technical problems.. so for me both of them will fight for a 1st driver for the ferrari till end of the season... hehehe hamilton also good.. good start for rookie... but im a ferrari fans!!! Hehe next month is sepang circuit!!! im already buy 1 ticket with my brother n my friends yesterday.. so dont jealous !!!! hihiiihi come and join us!! This year malaysia grand prix offer more activities and discount !! check it out friends!!
A great race for Räikkönen. A superb race from Hamilton. A disappointing race for Kovalainen (Flavio wasn't happy) and the Hondas. And what was Coulthard up to when he tried to decapitate Alex Wurz? Webber did a nice 360 spin when going into the pits. Here are the results: 1 K. Räikkönen Ferrari 1:25:28.770 2 F. Alonso McLaren + 7.242 3 L. Hamilton McLaren + 18.595 4 N. Heidfeld BMW + 38.763 5 G. Fisichella Renault + 1:06.469 6 F. Massa Ferrari + 1:06.805 7 N. Rosberg Williams + 1 laps 8 R. Schumacher Toyota + 1 laps 9 J. Trulli Toyota + 1 laps 10 H. Raikkonen drove well. Hamilton should have come second, but uhmm well as long as a Mclaren dude comes in second, the bosses shouldn't mind. David was quite lucky. His car nearly flew over Wurz. Button finished 15th, that is some way off....
hehe, I know it did. Something worse could have happened to DC, as also to Wurz, but thankfully nothing did
Alex Wurz was really lucky. The replay showed how close the barge board of David's car was to Alex's helmet.
Yes Raikkonen have good talent to win Formula-1 but he is not good car and team untill last year and most of race he didn't finished because of car failure. But now he has strong team and car and he can do this well.
I thought Kimi would bring his bad luck with him to Ferrari and was waiting for an exploding tyre or engine in the last lap or so. Thankfully it didn't happen. One difference between Kimi in McLaren and Kimi in Ferrari is perhaps that he doesn't have to push the Ferrari to its limit every single race as he had to do with his poor McLaren last year. The Ferrari seems to be good enough to drive at just 95% and still have an edge. I didn't think Kimi could drive anything less than full attack though.
It just seemed easy for Kimi he always was better than alonso in my oppinion always let down by the car until now
Was rooting for Hamilton as he's a Stevenage lad (nearest big town to me) and was well impressed with his performance, I think he was a little unlucky on finishing third I think he should have come in second anyway third is an outstanding start to his F1 career and will be watching every race with anticipation. I've rooted for Kimi for years and was pleased to see him win though my dedication stays with the McClaren's I really want to see them do well this year ... hopefully they can sort out the gremlins they suffered with last year
