Forgotten htaccess settings - trying to get rid of password protection in areas

Hi,

I've forgotten how I must have passworded an area, how can I tell what is causing it to be so? I've run:

locate .htaccess

But all it brings up is htaccess files with Allow/Deny Indexes.

Help urgently appreciated!

 

Problem solved, the page and directory itself weren't password protected, just all the images etc it linked to, as I hadn't changed the links to their location (html base tag)
