    Good morning everyone,

Dose anybody know of a good online backup service that will mirror image my Primary and Secondary hard drives so that in the event that either one of them Dies on me and I'm unable to boot... I can just insert a spare Hard Drive and download my last Image... It's a bit like a time stamp that's always changing so if the paper gets ripped, no sweat... Get a blank peace of paper and stamp a new image, sorted

And dose anyone now of any remote severs I can connect to use "my network places..."

I don't want to rely on stupid back up devices that resource consuming software... That just goes way over my head and i need something simple and secure that dose the job

    cheers,

I don't use online backups. And certainly wouldn't trust anyone with my data, unless it was encrypted (which it is anyway :D).

I copy all my data to 2 separate internal encrypted drives using SecondCopy EVERYDAY at shutdown. And make weekly offsite backups to an external drive that I keep at my parents house.

Why would you ever trust a third party with your backups?

I had no idea that it supported FTP backup :) but here it is:

SecondCopy has saved my skin a few times, either when a drive has failed (luckily only once), or when I've mistakenly deleted something that I'm working on (happens all the time!). You can make it run at scheduled intervals, at a set time, or at startup or shutdown.

Well i had a 500GB Western digital Hard drive as my back up device, within only 6 months I had to send it in for warranty. And I've got more broken seagate drives lieing around the house than i know what to do with so... I figure the hardware isn't all that reliable...Wish someone would just come out with a domestic hard disc recovery machine so you could open it up take out the plats and simply copy it like a CD, all these years and still nobody has come out with a cost effective DIY data recover unit

I'll play around with second copy and do a few tests fist before i decide on getting...this is just possibly exactly what i need....
