I am thinking about placing AdSense ads on my forex site. I am a little concerned because I don't like putting up ads like that, but the possibility of extra revenue is tempting. Does anyone know what the approximate going rates are for forex-related clicks on AdSense? If I don't get any responses I think I'll test it out for a few days and report back here to let everyone know. Cheers.
Hi there, Advertisers are currently paying just over $1 to just over $8 a click for the term "Forex". As a publisher you would get a cut of something in that range for that term providing your traffic is targeted and converts for the advertiser. Obviously there are other factors including the broader terms you are targetting. Whatever you do, don't go after a single keyword term like this... Dean
As far as I know, 'forex' is a pretty high paying keyword/niche. In regards to not really feeling comfortable putting the adverts up, try making the advert the same colour as your site. If they stand out too much, then (a) you won't get many clicks, and (b) it looks really unattractive. If you feel that Adsense is really letting your site down, just remove the ad code
Thanks! Great info from everyone. I had a feeling Forex was a pretty high paying industry because clients are worth a lot, affiliate programs pay a lot and because AdWords bids are high. Seems logical. Just wanted to double-check with people who know for sure. @DeanJames - I wouldn't really want to target the single word "forex" anyway. Glad to see you agree. @kiteguy123 - Thanks for the tips, that's exactly what I plan to do. Wish me luck!
If you are having a forex site, with good traffic, don't think twice to put adsense on it. With ideal placement, you will be making good revenue from adsense.

Forex s a good and profitable adsense niche any day any time. All you have to do is to build a good and attractive blog and dish out quality content to keep people coming back to you.And again start writing articles. If you can write like 100 articles a day you may be making like minimum of 20 dollars daily from adsense.Forex is a profitable adsense niche.
If you write 100 articles in any niche (good articles) daily you can make way more... your site will soon be number 1 and you can bank on that...also, 100 articles a day is really hard and doubt anyone here updates their blogs with 100+ posts p/d. anyhow, just found the numbers strange.
I'm overwhelmed by the positive response. I will definitely give it a try. My new site is a work in progress but it does get some traffic already so that's the one I'm going to get going first as a test bed. Will report back when I have some more news. Thanks everyone.
every once in a great while you'll get a high paying click, but most of the clicks will be .10 - .50.
I agree. That's the same trend I'm experiencing as well. Words that have high stated average...only generate a small fraction of that.
Every click depends on Geo target locations . If you get traffic from USA , CANADA , UK than you can get $ 0.60 to $ 3.5 per click . If you are able to drive quality traffic and they get converted than your cpc will be increase manually by them .
Thanks to everyone for their input. I promised I would come back and update everyone on how it went. I did a trial run and have been receiving approximately $1 per click. I will try fiddling with things to see if I can increase that.
