    Hey Guys

My META description/keywords are in both English and Japan. I thought it would be good so I can attract some Asian customers. My site has been live for about 6 months and it has a poor search ranking for just about every engine. Is it a bad idea to include more than one language in the description? The site is in English. I'm wondering if I should have any English on description/keywords....

if the site is in English, then your tags should be in English as well. if you want to target visitors from different region, then you can setup different version of the site so that you can use proper meta tags

Agreed with sultanofseo. Make your website multilingual but don't just mess your META tags with multiple languages

Why did you mix both languages in the meta tags? The meta keywords are ignored by Google anyways. What i suggest is you create a different version of the site in Japanese language and then add the Japanese language keywords alone in the meta descritpion for that site.
